Remember this day?

I remember this day completely. I remember exactly what I was doing and where I was. I was at a cabinet service call at a homeowners home in St. Augustine beach, Florida. I remember not being able to believe our country was under attack. The homeowner had her television on and we were all watching intensely for hours.
The world would forever be changed by these acts of extreme violence on The United States of America. My wife and I watched the news for days following, as the horrible images were the only thing on almost every channel. The patriotism swelled in our hearts for our country, while our sadness grew for the victims and their families.

Really? Another situation in the Gulf!

I find this news overwhelming considering the BP accident, which happened only 135 days prior. I would think every person in this industry would be dotting their I's and crossing their T's. Will this accident along with the BP accident  highlight stricter safety regulations in this field or will the Gulf be a black, oily mess for months or even years to come?
Accidents can prove fatal, but at least in this one it was not. All thirteen employees of Mariner Energy survived and had no serious injuries. The environment will be fine as well, no oil leaks have been found. Thank Goodness!
