An American Icon

   Gibson guitars are an American icon with a playability unmatched by other brands. The Les Paul was first introduced in 1952 and  more than five decades later, this all-time favorite solid body electric guitar continues to influence guitarists, musicians and music lovers all over the world. The Gibson Les Paul has changed little since its introduction.     Les Paul,considered one of the finest jazz guitarists, is famous for his amazing versatility. Dissatisfied with the sound of available instruments, Paul invented a solid-body electric guitar. Marketed in 1951 by Gibson, it was extremely important in the development of rock music and was played by many of its greatest stars. This fine musical instrument is still paving a path for innovation in music.

A Powerful Handshake

      Tifatul Sembiring made a small religious boo-boo by touching the First Lady Michelle Obama's hand. He called the incident forced contact by Mrs. Obama. The devout conservative Muslim politician is said not to touch women who are not family members based on his religious beliefs. The handshake doesn't appear to be accidental, but could be seen as forced in the moment.
   The vast majority of Indonesia are moderate Muslims, so I wouldn't think this would be that big of a deal there. It does hinder Mr. Sembiring with the conservative Muslim community though. He later tweeted   "I tried to prevent [being touched] with my hands, but Mrs. Michelle held her hands too far toward me [so] we touched." Hopefully for Mr. Sembiring this will not cause a bad stir in the Muslim community.

The Almighty SVT Cobra!

   The outstanding and amazing 2003 to 2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra is a limited production vehicle with a world renowned following. The almost eight year old cobra is still in great demand and has an excellent owners and visitors website. The website also gives good information and resources for other fine Ford SVT vehicles including the famous Mustang Shelby GT500.
   The SVT letters stand for special vehicle team and was established in 1993 by John Plant of Ford Marketing, Janine Bay of Ford Mustang Program Management, and Robert Burnham of Ford Truck Program Management. The official Ford website is great for mods and news concerning SVT vehicles and has a forum for registered users. It does come with a price to be a registered user, but is well worth it, if your an owner.

   What a great website! I frequent this website almost daily as I play guitar for pleasure. Playing guitar is such a calming and great feeling. This website has everything you need especially if you want to play songs from your favorite bands. The variety is vast and ranges from country to even rap songs. The website not only has great user submitted tabs , but they cover music news, reviews, interviews, as well as have an online community.
   Ultimate Guitar was founded October 9, 1998 by Eugeny Naidenov, who was a student of economic faculty of Kaliningrad State University, Russia.It is now one of the fastest growing guitar communities on the internet! They even have an iphone app. and you can look up any tab you want just like on the regular website. If you play the guitar take time to check it out.

Clay County Murderer

  There's a murderer still loose in our area. Christopher Scott Kilgore shot his parents,his brother, and another man. His parents are expected to live, but both are in critical condition. Chritopher's brother and his friend ,the other person shot, died as a result of being shot. There was an eighteen month-old baby in the home at the time of the shooting, but wasn't harmed.
  I can't understand how anyone could do this. He is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous. He is hiding out in Jennings State Forest somewhere. He robbed a gas station the next day in the area of where the shooting took place. The local police and police from surrounding counties have been unable to find him. He's on the run! Hopefully we find this derranged man soon.   

A Second Earth!

   How truly incredible this find could be. It always amazes me the genius of an astronomer today. The possibility to see and find a planet extremely far away. Gliese 581g has been being observed for more than 11 years. It really is amazing how we know the temperature or that it seems to have water on it from the distance we are observing it from.
   The planet is 20 light years away from us and orbits the red dwarf star gliese 581. It orbits the star every 37 days, has rocky regions, and an atmosphere. This sounds close to our Earth. The only problem I see is it is locked tidally to it's sun, wich means it doesn't rotate. It has a constant darkside and a constant light side. Either way this is a tremendous advance forward for space and mankind.

Remember this day?

  I remember this day completely. I remember exactly what I was doing and where I was. I was at a cabinet service call at a homeowners home in St. Augustine beach, Florida. I remember not being able to believe our country was under attack. The homeowner had her television on and we were all watching intensely for hours.

  The world would forever be changed by these acts of extreme violence on The United States of America. My wife and I watched the news for days following, as the horrible images were the only thing on almost every channel. The patriotism swelled in our hearts for our country, while our sadness grew for the victims and their families.
