An American Icon

   Gibson guitars are an American icon with a playability unmatched by other brands. The Les Paul was first introduced in 1952 and  more than five decades later, this all-time favorite solid body electric guitar continues to influence guitarists, musicians and music lovers all over the world. The Gibson Les Paul has changed little since its introduction.     Les Paul,considered one of the finest jazz guitarists, is famous for his amazing versatility. Dissatisfied with the sound of available instruments, Paul invented a solid-body electric guitar. Marketed in 1951 by Gibson, it was extremely important in the development of rock music and was played by many of its greatest stars. This fine musical instrument is still paving a path for innovation in music.

A Powerful Handshake

      Tifatul Sembiring made a small religious boo-boo by touching the First Lady Michelle Obama's hand. He called the incident forced contact by Mrs. Obama. The devout conservative Muslim politician is said not to touch women who are not family members based on his religious beliefs. The handshake doesn't appear to be accidental, but could be seen as forced in the moment.
   The vast majority of Indonesia are moderate Muslims, so I wouldn't think this would be that big of a deal there. It does hinder Mr. Sembiring with the conservative Muslim community though. He later tweeted   "I tried to prevent [being touched] with my hands, but Mrs. Michelle held her hands too far toward me [so] we touched." Hopefully for Mr. Sembiring this will not cause a bad stir in the Muslim community.

The Almighty SVT Cobra!

   The outstanding and amazing 2003 to 2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra is a limited production vehicle with a world renowned following. The almost eight year old cobra is still in great demand and has an excellent owners and visitors website. The website also gives good information and resources for other fine Ford SVT vehicles including the famous Mustang Shelby GT500.
   The SVT letters stand for special vehicle team and was established in 1993 by John Plant of Ford Marketing, Janine Bay of Ford Mustang Program Management, and Robert Burnham of Ford Truck Program Management. The official Ford website is great for mods and news concerning SVT vehicles and has a forum for registered users. It does come with a price to be a registered user, but is well worth it, if your an owner.
